Beginning yesterday we came to Osaka and are having Hello! Project concerts

Concerts are fun

From the top of the stage, to the interior of the audience, I was able to perfectly see everyone’s smiles

Morning Musume’s Mitsui Aika-chan and Sayashi Riho-chan weren’t able to participate in the concerts because of injuries,

and Morning Musume-san’s fighting yell of “Let’s pile up those two’s parts” was amazing

Mittsi~ and Sayashi-chan, I hope they get better soon…

Well, there’s also a concert in Osaka today

In addition, today there are 3 performances(｀・∀・´)

It’s been a long time since we’ve had 3 performances…

I’m looking forward to it

Several new photosets have been added to the goods list for the Hello! Project 2011 SUMMER tour, which include new group, individual (Maimi’s pictured above), and “nakayoshi” photosets (Maimi’s pictured above). I’m ℃-ute’s Yajima Maimi♪

We’re on break from practice until August, and up to now we’ve had two practices!!

The first day was a scenario reading☆

Though it’s early, the second day we rehearsed the first part★

For me, the role I was given is really fresh,

and I haven’t challenged anything like it up until now(ｕvｕ)

How can I do a deeper performance of that character, it’s trial-and-error every day p(^-^)q

I’m happy though♪

That I was given a role like this☆

So that I can firmly make this long-awaited role my own, I gotta work hard(｀・ω´・)+

Right♪ Let’s give it a lot of thought!!

Since Gekiharo has been groups performing one-by-one up until now,

Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute together at practice,

it’s sort of fresh☆

I want to absorb a lot of things from all the other members and co-stars, and run swiftly until September!!

In order to give you a wonderful play, everyone will work hard Ｏ(≧▽≦)Ｏ

I’m happy that this time there’s not just performances in Tokyo, but also in Osaka★♪

It’s Maimi

My shoulder feels a lot better than yesterday

…Yesterday when I met all of Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute, everyone’s muscle pain was in different areas

Only I was the left shoulder… why σ(^_^;)?

I wonder if I used the wrong muscles

Now, the origin of that muscle pain is… this

At the Self-Defense Force PR center in Asaka,

we looked, we experienced, we moved our bodies, and we learned a lot about the Self-Defense Force

It was a Social Studies field trip
Nostalgic

The more you know about the Self-Defense Force job, it’s a job that’s physically and emotionally intense,

“Amazing~…” I felt deeply

What they taught us, I will firmly make the best use of in the play

Yesterday at the goods photoshoot for “Sengoku Jieitai”, the play we perform in in September,

we moved our bodies

During the photoshoot yesterday
“Tomorrow I’m going to have muscle pain”

and it came as expected

But it was really fun~

In addition, yesterday was Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute together,

and originally Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute
had activities as one group called Hello! Project Kids

so it reminded me of that time

When everyone assembles it’s really bustling, and on the bus back everybody’s body is worn-out from moving,

and everyone with the exception of myself
and Berryz Koubou’s
Shimizu Saki-chan and Tokunaga Chinami-chan

were sleeping soundly

And then, changing the subject,

The first volume of a 3-month serial release of solo DVDs filmed awhile ago

The clip from “a foggy doll”
on the ℃-ute channel on YouTube

broke through 100,000 views

It seems like various people all over the world watched it…

I’m really happy

Aroma loves going out, and when we go to the entryway

No matter how early in the morning, Aroma wakes up and meets me as I leave the house

My pet dog Cologne (Aroma’s mother) dislikes the mornings more than Aroma, so she doesn’t get out of her bed

Earlier, before I went out the two of them were in the entry way and “Take me with you~” they were pestering me

“I can’t take you today” I said, and my pet dogs stayed, and when I left the house

They ran to the other side
and the two of them were watching from the window

And then, my pet dog Rookie

sees me off from the garden

It really lifts my spirits

By the way, today they also saw me off

Maimi Sightings for 7/26

Berryz Koubou’s Captain Shimizu Saki dedicated an entry on her official blog to Maimi, as part of a feature where she shares a 2-shot she recently took with the other Hello! Project members at a B.L.T. photoshoot. In the entry titled “③“, Captain wrote that Maimi is really diligent, hard-working, and… scatterbrained. Captain continued to say that she really loves the kind Maimi who she has never once seen get angry, and that she still treasures a charm that Maimi gave her to this day.

Fellow ℃-ute member and fellow Kikan-seyo group member Nakajima Saki uploaded 2-shots with Maimi from the “Sengoku Jieitai” practice for the day in her entries “Today” and “Now” on both the ℃-ute blog and her personal Ameba blog.

“Gekidan GekiHaro Volume 11 Sengoku Jieitai”

started

The role I play is like nothing I’ve ever played before

Personally, I was surprised

“Maimi with this kind of role is rare” I was told

It’s certainly rare

At yesterday’s scenario reading,

the roles were explained,

“This is difficult”
I thought, and was considerably impatient

But since it’s a role I haven’t had before, if I can neatly make it my own and complete the performance,

the depth of my acting will expand I thought

I’m really happy that I was given this role

I gotta work my hardest though

I’m still not good enough yet, I’m still not good enough yet, I’m still not good enough yet~~

Though I still have a long way to go,
today I feel like I was able to grasp the role just a little more than yesterday

I want to firmly understand the role that the director Suzuki Sanzae-san created,

and right now I’m exploring it, but by the performance I want to perfectly make it my own

Ah~ Do your best, Maimi

Though I say that, the practices are really fun

Roles like this, there’s things to worry about and frustration, but isn’t it actually fun

The performance is still a ways off, but everyone definitely come and see it please

So that it becomes a wonderful play, everyone will work hard

Blog update: “Summer vacation”

Here’s the translation for Maimi’s 7/25 blog update, titled “Summer vacation“:

Everyone, are you ENJOYing summer

People have already begun their summer vacation

Amongst those people, we also had summer vacation yesterday

When I read the other members’ blog last night, everyone seemed to be having a lot of fun…

Ah Okai-san wrote “I have nothing to do“(^-^)

I also ENJOYed my summer vacation

I met the close friend that I really really love

My close friend just turned 20-years-old…

It was a little late, but I was able to meet her and celebrate

For my birthday in February, my two close friends surprised me

The friend I met yesterday was one of them

That surprise made me happy happy, and I started making their present when I returned home that day

I created a memory album, and as expected I finished it too quickly

I stored it at my house for 5 months, and finally yesterday, I was able to give it to her

My close friend’s delighted face I was happy

First, she looked at the memory album I made

“Eh You’re kidding right” she said…

In addition to the pictures from the time we met at the 1st year elementary school student entrance ceremony, through the 14 years up to now, the album has illustrations and messages put here and there

At that time, the music playing in the store became good background music,

and as the two of us turned the pages, “Ah, I feel like crying(^o^;)” I said (lol)

It’s a strange thing to say since I made it myself

But, no matter which picture you look at, we’re always smiling next to each other…

We were aaaaalways together I thought again

Moreover, each time you turn the page, you can see the two of us gradually grow

After we left the store, again and again she took the album out, and gazed at it while saying “Eh~( ´∀`)”

And then, I presented her with a bracelet

and happily she put it on right away,

Yeah It’s been awhile since I’ve taken a purikura

The sight of her lining up the presents then and there and taking lots of pictures made me happy

And then, last we went to karaoke

To start, my close friend sang a song for me

“Anata no Uta”

Since it’s a commercial song, it was actually the first time for me to hear it fully

When I said “It’s a nice song~ヾ(≧∀≦)〃”

“I know This song, yeah yeah, that’s right I think It’s really like this when I meet a friend I want to meet tomorrow too I started to feel”

she said…
I’m happy

In addition, while I was singing, my close friend chose the next song and looked over grinning

While I was wondering what it was,

“Massara Blue Jeans” came up

“I can do the dance” she said, and sang the song with the hand movements

Because she often comes to see the concerts, she remembered it

My close friend has a part-time job at night, so we said good bye around 17:30

“Aaaaah, if I didn’t have to work… we could stay together a little longer We’ll absolutely hang out again” she said though

Hanging out for the first time in awhile raised my spirits too, and was really fun

I really respect her from the bottom of my heart

She’s really really positive
really really “my pace”
kind to everyone
really really perseveres
really really thoughtful

Ah By the way, she’s really really smart too

She’s working hard with all her might so that she can become a nurse

When I hear that, “I gotta work hard too” I think

From here on too, when we become grannies too, I want to always aaaaaaaaalways cherish my close friend

I also want to meet my other close friend who I haven’t been able to recently
Though that close friend’s birthday is in July, I still haven’t… given them their present…

Afterwards,
I went to eat shabu-shabu with my dad, mom, brother, aunt, and cousin

It’s been awhile since I’ve eaten with my family, and my relatives joined in,

and talking about various things while eating with a large group of people is nice

Without thinking, we ate too much, and everyone’s stomachs were bulging

I felt warm things around me all day

I’m grateful to everyone

Now, the rehearsals for the September play “Sengoku Jieitai” start today

My heart is pounding

Alright I will firmly switch over, concentrate, and tanobaru

Today’s Odaiba Gasshuukoku
“Sakigake! Ongaku Banzuke” event
was really fun~

It’s been awhile since we had an open-air event

It was cool outside,

and I was thinking “Lucky“,

but

Ahhh I was soaked with sweat at the end of the event

It was really really hot (lol)

By the way, yesterday’s setlist was like this↓

The moment I stepped out on the stage, I was surprised by the amount of people who came

I couldn’t see the ground through the crowd all the way back to the road

People were tightly packed on the stairway for the nearby walkway too

I was really happy

It seemed like there were a lot of people like “It’s the first time I saw ℃-ute“

Here’s a happy story I heard from my mom yesterday…

Actually, at yesterday’s event
my mom came and watched

nearby was a person accompanied by his child

and when he heard

the Candies-san cover song,

“Shochuu Omimai Moushiagemasu”

“Nostalgic~ This song was popular when Papa was young”

he said with his child sitting on his shoulders

I’m happy

There were people who stopped for that reason…

Right I’m glad we were able to appear at this event

I think there were also a lot of people who couldn’t come,

and like the 2006 and 2007 Cutie Circuits, it’d be nice if we could have events everywhere that anyone can watch carefree… I felt

I want to go and meet everyone in the whole country(≧∀≦)
