Maimi Sightings for 3/31

Fellow ℃-ute member Nakajima Saki continued her series of posts at her solo Ameba blog where she uploaded her pictures from ℃-ute’s trip to Hawaii. Today’s pictures included a 2-shot of her and Maimi at a viewing platform at Nu‘uanu Pali, and several group shots of ℃-ute at the 6-shot event.

Fellow ℃-ute member Hagiwara Mai uploaded another group shot from the 6-shot event in her update on the official ℃-ute blog.

Fellow ℃-ute member Okai Chisato shared a group shot from ℃-ute’s “JUNON” photoshoot yesterday in her entry on the official ℃-ute blog.

And though not technically a Maimi sighting, Berryz Koubou’s captain Shimizu Saki uploaded a picture of the lip gloss that Maimi bought her in Hawaii and thanked “Mii-tan” in an update on her official blog yesterday.

℃-ute news for 3/31: 30 versions of new single music video, day 1

■ As Maimi mentioned in her update today, the official ℃-ute YouTube channel uploaded a video of the girls announcing that over the next 30 days a new version of the music video for their new single “Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku” will be uploaded daily…

■ …and the upload for the first day, 4/1, is the “Close-Up Ver.B” version of the music video.

Yesterday,
I had a photoshoot with Airi for the magazine “B.L.T.”

all of ℃-ute had a photoshoot for the 4/23 issue of “JUNON”

We also got to talk about a lot of things in the interview

And then,
after that we rehearsed our singing for the event held on 4/8, “Idol Yokochou Matsuri!!”

We sang accompanied by a band

It’s ℃-ute’s first time singing with a live band

Everyone is really excited

Various idols will appear at “Idol Yokochou Matsuri!!”

I want it to become a performance that makes the people who are seeing ℃-ute for the first time think “Oh I want to cheer for ℃-ute too“

℃-ute is really, really fired up

Anyway, today is the last day of March

That was fast~

The announcement is currently airing
on ℃-ute’s YouTube channel,

but our new song releasing on 4/18
“Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku”

From tomorrow until 4/30,
each day one version of the music video, for a total of 30, will be uploaded in order on the ℃-ute channel

This is unprecedented
When we were first told about it, we were surprised too(゜ロ゜)

Amongst those 30 versions, there are solo versions,

and a Hawaii version that we filmed a few days ago,

so if everyone checks the ℃-ute channel every day from tomorrow, I’ll definitely, definitely be happy

Maimi Sightings for 3/30

Fellow ℃-ute member Okai Chisato shared a group shot of the girls in her first entry back from Hawaii on the official ℃-ute blog.

Suzuki Airi uploaded a 2-shot with Maimi in her update on the official ℃-ute blog, and wrote that the two had a photoshoot together for the magazine “B.L.T.” today.

Hagiwara Mai included a group shot from Hawaii in her update on the official ℃-ute blog.

Nacky (Nakajima Saki) uploaded a bunch of photos from ℃-ute’s time in Hawaii over several entries on her solo Ameba blog, including the group shot and the shots of her and Maimi on their optional tour below. She also shared a group shot of ℃-ute from their rehearsal for “Idol Yokochou Matsuri!!”.

Hello! Project staff member STAFFdesu was on-hand for Maimi and Airi’s “B.L.T.” photoshoot, and shared these two pictures from the day.

Last night I was able to give my family their souvenirs

My dad put on the shirt I gave him right away

He said “You know my size well~ It’s perfect“, so I was relieved

And then, the sandals I bought my brother…

Brother “(While holding the bag) Oh What’s this”

Me “Sandals… Hey, what’s your shoe size I didn’t know it”

Brother “28.5”

Me “…Eh(￣▽￣;) Really…… I bought the smaller ones… Can you wear them”

Brother “(While opening the box) Sweet~ Whoa Thanks (While putting them on right away) Yeah Look, it’s just right Isn’t the size a little larger because you bought them overseas”

Me “…Eh(￣▽￣;) Though I bought them overseas, they also had the Japanese size written on them, so I bought them while looking at that…(-_-;)”

Brother “Really(・ｖ・;)… But they’re sandals My heel fits too, look”

And then, he looked happy looking at the sandals countless times, and he put them back in the box and took them back to this room(ToT)

The size I bought… How big do you think they were

The sandals are a 1.5cm difference…

I’m back~
It’s Maimi

Everyone, everyone~ I’ve returned~＼(^-^)／

Japan~
I love Hawaii,
but I also love Japan

It’s relieving

When I got back and went to our office, Chinami (Berryz Koubou’s Tokunaga Chinami-chan) was there

“Wah~ Maimi~” she said and came to meet me

I was able to properly give her her souvenir

Chinami loves characters from other countries like Barbie dolls and Toy Story, so she has a considerable collection

Every time we hang out, we go to the toy store

In Hawaii this time, they were selling a red car that Barbie-chan rides,

and while wondering “Does Chinami already have this one~” I bought it

But it looks like Chinami didn’t have it yet I’m really glad~

“Whoa~ Maimi, I’m so~ happy Thank you so much My Barbies will be glad to get a new car~＼(^o^)／”

she said really delighted

Because it was big, I said
“Will it be alright if you don’t take it home today”

but she said “It’s OK I’ll take it home today“,
and she carried it home in her hands

I’m happy

After that, I met the other Berryz Koubou members one after another~

Everyone said “Welcome back~” to me

I also reunited with my parents after a long time

We talked a lot

I’m still in the car on the way home,
and I’m looking forward to arriving

As expected, the place I feel most comfortable is my home~

I gotta put away all the stuff in my suitcase, and I want to give everyone their souvenirs

I’m happy~

Ah Speaking of which, the movie that I watched on the plane ride back, “TIME”, was really, really good~

I’m adding it to my list of recommended movies

Today we went to the beach and played “beach flag”, and swam and went body boarding in the ocean~

Hawaii’s ocean is so beautiful, no matter how many times I see it I’m moved…

And then, we went horseback riding afterwards~

When I pet the horse, it became sleepy(*^^*)
And when I saw that, I became sleepy too…
Horses’ bodies are warm, so I think sleeping next to one would feel really good

I became attached to the horse because I was petting it the e~ntire time, but it was so cute that it couldn’t be helped

Airi and I had the conversation
“I want to learn to ride bareback“

At any rate, I enjoyed today too~

In addition, I was a~lways worrying
“What kind of souvenir should I buy my mother“, but I was finally able to buy her something today

I hope all of my family like their souvenirs~

But I’m worried about whether I got the right sizes for everyone~

I tried to remember the shirts hanging to dry and the shoes in the entrance at my house, and I bought the souvenirs while guessing “It’s about this size, I think~”…(^-^;

I hope they fit…

Well From here we’re all going to eat~

℃-ute news for 3/27: New single covers

■ The official Hello! Project site added the covers for ℃-ute’s next single and single v, “Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku”, to their discography pages. (Single, Single V). Each girl will be featured on the cover of their respective limited edition, and the single v features an official English translation of the song’s title, “You Ride Your Bicycle While I Catch the Train Home”. The single will be released on 4/18, and the single v on 4/25.

Update: Amazon.co.jp has larger versions of each individual cover now, and the cover for Maimi’s version (Limited B) is pictured below.

When you go to a souvenir shop, they are selling a lot of turtle keychains and accessories,

because turtles are a symbol of happiness~

I’ve noticed that Hawaii’s roads aren’t as flat as Japan’s

So the car sways a lot
It’s a good feeling, so as soon as you get in the car you feel sleepy…

…And while typing, I also fell asleep without realizing it…

We arrived at the shopping center,

so I enjoyed shopping

Though I say that, we had only one hour of shopping time,

so Airi and I dashed to the luggage store

We bought too much on the first day,

so our situation was
“The souvenirs~ They won’t fit~“

I had thought “I want a carry case~” before,
so I’m glad I could buy one

Now, I can properly return to Japan with souvenirs

Also~, I was able to buy a souvenir for my dad which I couldn’t do on the first day

We ran out of time though, so Airi and I were really running while carrying the carry cases we just brought
I’m glad I’m glad…

Oh my
It’s become “Good evening” time for everyone in Japan too

Tomorrow we also have a photoshoot, so I’ll do my best while having fun

Fellow ℃-ute member Suzuki Airi uploaded this group photo in her update on the official ℃-ute blog, and wrote that when they went out to eat meat for dinner, as mentioned by Maimi in her update, Maimi ended up eating a serving a meat that was meant for two people by herself.

I wonder if everyone who participated in the fan club Hawaii tour was able to return to Japan without any trouble…

When I think “This morning we were in Hawaii together, but now they’re not here~”

I become somewhat lonely…

But, today all of ℃-ute went to the pool~

What It was a photoshoot for a ℃-ute photobook

I’m really happy that ℃-ute can appear in another photobook~

At any rate, it was the first time I went in a pool in awhile~

Though I properly covered myself in sunblock, I still became a little burned f(^-^;

It’s because I naturally absorb the sun’s rays really easily~ I get sunburned right away…

All of the other ℃-ute members were also in really high spirits, and all four of them became tired in the car,

and fell asleep with a “Whew~“

Speaking of which, this is totally unrelated, but I don’t have hayfever here~

My eyes don’t itch, I don’t sneeze, my nose doesn’t feel itchy… I’m really grateful

It was still cold when we left Japan, but I wonder how warm it will be when we return…

Maimi’s bicycle pilgrimage, Part 1

This week’s episode of “HaroPuro! TIME” was the first of four in which Maimi’s trip by bicycle to Shizuoka from Tokyo is chronicled. Her segment started with her deciding to make a 2 night/3 day trip by bicycle somewhere for the purpose of promoting ℃-ute upcoming single, “Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku” (You return home by bicycle, I return home by train). For advice on her trip, Maimi consulted with a bicycle-lover from her talent agency, frequent Hello! Project MC and Sharan Q drummer Makoto. Makoto recommended that Maimi travel using a road bike, and that she head somewhere south like Shizuoka.

With those things in mind, Maimi searched by map and computer for where exactly to go, albeit with some struggle. Maimi was eventually able to figure the computer out, and commented that people have probably never seen her use a computer, but surprisingly she’s able to do it, to which the on-screen captions responded “Really!?”. At last, Maimi decided to head to the Kunouzan Toshogu shrine in Shizuoka to pray for the success of the new single.

For the next step of preparation, Maimi headed to the bicycle shop Nicole EuroCycle Aoyama and met with the store manager. Once there, Maimi was shown road bikes that are popular with girls and almost instantly decided on the De Rosa bicycle, which she thought was cute. Upon sitting on the bike, Maimi commented on how high up the seat was. She was then lead through the features of the bike by the store manager, before heading over to clothing section. In the clothing section, the store manager told Maimi that the most important piece of clothing when riding a bike is the pants. After going over several notable points about the pants, the store manager added that cyclists don’t wear underwear while wearing the pants, much to Maimi’s shock.

Having gotten all the necessary gear for her trip, Maimi practiced riding her road bike around before suiting up and starting her bicycle adventure to Shizuoka’s Kunouzan Toshogu shrine, which will continue in next week’s episode of “HaroPuro! TIME”.

Here’s the translation for Maimi’s 3/25 blog update, titled “Final day“:

It’s Maimi

Today the fan club Hawaii tour ended

Time flies when you’re having fun…

I made a lot of memories though

It was a really fun 3 days, and the distance between us and all of the fans became shorter, and Yaji and all of ℃-ute were really happy~

I’ll be glad if everyone else felt a lot of happiness too…

And then, I think there are a lot of people who couldn’t participate in the tour this time,

but thank you very much for thinking about ℃-ute from far away

When we return to Japan, ℃-ute’s tour finally begins,

and I want to meet as many of ℃-ute’s fans as possible

It was an outdoors concert, and it also rained today…

All of the fans and us were exposed to the rain… but we still enjoyed the concert
